Last week was Procrastination Week. While you were out there celebrating it by taking your time, we took the time to collate procrastination hacks for you to face yet another Monday.
Here are some tips on how to fight #Procrastination and be more #Productive

Achieve Quick Wins at the Start of the Day
Start with small task that you can accomplish easily.
This allows you to get a sense of accomplishment and get the ball rolling.
Starting with BIG TASKS that will take hours to finish can demoralize you and make you procrastinate more. More simple but significant tasks that you get to tick off your checklist will excite you to keep moving forward.

Tell Yourself “I’ll Just Open the Document…”
Don’t let yourself be overwhelmed with big projects. Turn them into small actionable steps. Make your first step simple. A simple task such as opening a document allows you to start without pressuring yourself too much.
This simple to ask will also open the door for you to actually finish the task you have been putting off.

Write a To-Do List for the Day
A To-Do List Keeps you on track. You can start with Top 3 Most Important Task you want to accomplish.
I currently use the Productivity Planner by Intelligent Change. Daily, you list your Most Important Task of the Day, followed by Secondary Tasks of Importance. If you have more time, you can put in Additional Tasks. You can do this in any notebook or planner you have. The tasks that you list down should be the ones that will bring you closer to your goal and will have most impact.

Use Your Energy Peaks Wisely
Identify which time of the day you focus well. Use those times to accomplish the important tasks.
For some people it can be early in the morning while for others it can be in the later afternoon. Identifying your peak will help make sure you get the important things done.
If you need an extra jolt, a cup of your daily brew can do help you out. In this summer heat, a cup of weekender cold brew is your perfect companion.

Make a Plan – then Make a Start
Know what you are supposed to do by writing a plan. It is a step by step guide to go through a project. Once you make it, start it even with just one step.
Planning allows you to know the work needed to be done to finish a project. If you are working on multiple projects, planning allows you to know which to prioritize on your to do list. But don’t get caught up planning. Make sure you act on your plan

Look Forward to Something Fun Later
Some tasks can be more daunting than the others. Motivate yourself by rewarding yourself after doing the task.
A task that you are not particularly fond of might need an extra push from you. There’s nothing more motivating than a reward. It may be your favorite dish like adobo flakes or binge watching your favorite series. Whatever floats your boat.

Finish in the Middle of a Task
Sometimes in the morning, we don’t know where to start. Instead of starting a new task, why not work on where you’ve left off the previous day.
We can get flooded by a ton of to dos on our list. There are days that most of them seem so important you don’t know what to prioritize. When that happens, pick up where you left off. This will also allow you to finish your first task of the day faster since half of it was done previously. This will motivate you more.
We hope that these tips will make you more productive.
